Hebrews 11:1 Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.

I made this super cool secret fort in the trees in our backyard that I wanted to show Milo, but I wanted to keep its location a secret. So, I blind folded her and led her through the backyard to the fort. She didn’t want to be blindfolded. She was scared. She thought I was going to lead her the wrong way and make her trip and skin her knee or something. I told her to have faith in me! She could trust me because I didn’t want to see her get hurt!

The Bible says in Hebrews 11 verse 1, “Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.”

 

When it is dark in our room and we feel scared, we can be sure that God is watching over us to keep us safe because it says in the Bible that he protects us. That is faith! When we believe that Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins, we can be sure we will go to heaven one day because the Bible says so. That is faith!

Faith is simply believing that God will do what he says he will in the Bible, even if we sometimes can’t see!
